Dr. Olaniyi is a seasoned professional with more than 44 years of post-graduate engineering and management experience across four continents (Africa, Europe, North America and the Middle East). He has dual Associate degrees in Real Estate and Mortgage Banking from North Lake College, a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos, a Master’s degree in Building Services Engineering and Management from Brunel University, and a Doctorate in Building Services Engineering and Energy Efficiency from Heriot-Watt University. Professionally, he is a Chartered Engineer of the U.K Engineering Council, a Registered Engineer with COREN in Nigeria, a member of several engineering associations in Nigeria, U.K and the United States, a Six Sigma Black Belt, a Certified Quality Auditor of the American Society for Quality, an Exemplar Global ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor, and a Texas Real Estate Broker. His professional experiences encompass multiple academic and industrial domains to include curriculum planning and academic teaching in tertiary educational institutions, research and development in energy conservation and renewable energy utilization, mobile telecommunications handset design, product & project management, quality engineering and management, convergence technology products reverse logistics and value stream optimization, lean six sigma analysis as well as real estate brokerage, development and mortgage finance analysis. He is zealously committed to the promotion of sustainable human development in living wage communities, with focus on the ultimate routine commercial deployment of optimized and intelligent renewable energy solutions to all types of buildings in tropical climates.

Huge congratulations to our 10 finalists and to team Koye Hydro who emerged ahead of over 40 teams as the Winner of the S2PAfrica EDC 2022, taking home $10,000 IDRC grand prize and $2000 from Cummins West Africa, to fund the development of their project as well as teams KeyTrick and Improved Charcoal Stove came in second and third respectively.
