Parametric 3D solid modelling, design, simulation and optimization using Autodesk products
An Engineer that has the skills to model, design and simulate in using design products like Autodesk Fusion 360, CFD etc. will be proficient in a number of sellable skills. This is an insurance against joblessness after graduation and these same skills can be used to develop creative and innovative designs as the starting point of prototyping and manufacturing.
We expect all participants to demonstrate a number of these skills. The best showing in demonstrating creativity and innovation in 3D modeling capabilities using the Graphical User Interface modeling, automation in the use of Application Programming Interfaces, and simulations in solid, fluid and combination scenarios will be in a position to win prizes in this category.

Huge congratulations to our 10 finalists and to team Koye Hydro who emerged ahead of over 40 teams as the Winner of the S2PAfrica EDC 2022, taking home $10,000 IDRC grand prize and $2000 from Cummins West Africa, to fund the development of their project as well as teams KeyTrick and Improved Charcoal Stove came in second and third respectively.
A new bar has been set and we can’t wait for EDC 2023.
